In-Home Consultation
In-Home Consultations and Training
- Training more appropriate behaviors
- Teaching you how to manage and modify your cat's more challenging behaviors
- A large percentage of our cases deal with anxiety, litterbox problems, as well as general training.
- All client information is kept strictly confidential
Methods used:
- Creative, science-based, force-free techniques are used for training and behavior modification. We find what motivates your companion and use it for training. More on my philosophy and methods can be found here.
- Every cat displays their current behavior because it is working for them. You will learn how to cultivate appropriate behaviors by rewarding different actions and encouraging the correct response.
- We focus on teaching the cat exactly what it is we want them to do and focus a lot on changing the environment so that they can be successful.
- We help you set your training goals, make a plan, and offer support through the learning process. We help you establish guidelines for what you want to see happen in your home.

Making the first appointment:
We encourage you go to your veterinarian for a
complete physical work-up (including bloodwork) if it has been over 12
months since their last visit.
A large number of behavior problems can be attributed to a medical
problem so we want to ensure we are working with a healthy animal. We
will work with your vet to find the appropriate solutions for your
companion.
We also encourage the whole family to be present for the sessions. It gives us a more complete picture and everyone hears the same information so everyone can be as consistent as possible in the home. Consistency and patience are the keys for success!
If you want to schedule an appointment, you may call (888)798-9473 and click here to fill out a thorough history form that we require before the first visit. Thank you and we will talk to you soon!
