Due to this great opportunity to help animal shelters around the country implement research that saves lives, she will no longer be offering group classes or private consults in the Ojai area. Heather is the founder of Collected Wisdom and strongly believes that developing a solid relationship with your companion is the foundation for behavior change.  She has dedicated her life to helping people live fuller more connected lives with their animals.  Her dedication has enhanced the mental health and well being of hundreds of animals over the years. Long-term behavior change is achieved using the least intrusive and most reinforcing methods. She has lived with animals that have severe behavior problems so understands how frustrating and time intensive this can be. Heather co-authored 3 book chapters on reptile behavior (Snakes, Lizards, and Turtles).  This was a large collaborative publication organized and edited by Dr. Valarie Tynes.  The book "Behavior of Exotic Pets" was released in August 2010.
